Tour of Dublin
Trinity College library and the Book of Kells, which was a masterpiece of artistry, bought us to an even greater respect for the story of Irish enlightenment in a time of European darkness. A beautiful rendition of the Bible created by Irish monks at a time when our other European ancestors languished in the Dark Ages, the book of Kells remains unique. Understandably, the Book of Kells museum does not allow photography.

A new special expert and Dublin walking tour guide brought James Joyce and Oscar Wilde to the front of our imaginations. Tell us about the reformation. Why were so many literary geniuses born in Dublin? We were like freshmen college students wanting to take literature classes all over again. We missed so much the first time around!
